From Cannes to the Oscars

Laïla Marrakchi's third feature film, after Marock and Rock the Casbah, Les Fraises had its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival on 18 May 2026. It was then selected as Morocco's entry for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.

Inspired by real accounts of the working conditions of Moroccan women farmworkers in southern Spain, the film will be released in French cinemas on 24 March 2027.
